Nana Adu Buabeng VI known as Stephen Seth Akesseh Ocansey, was born in Tema on the 23rd of November 1965 to Opanyin Kobina Tawiah Akesseh and Obaapayin Theresah Ekua Gyesiwa Akesseh. Nana began his formal education at Mexico Primary School in Community Two, Tema before completing his studies at St. Michael Catholic School in Ajumako Bisease. He later attended Bisease Secondary School, where he obtained his Ordinary Level Certificate. In his younger days, Nana demonstrated remarkable Athleticism. His talents in football and volleyball earned him spots on various teams where he was known for not only his sportsmanship, but also his competitive spirit. He was a sociable, jovial person and this endeared him to all who knew him. He had a unique connection with people and was able to connect with others. His warmth and sense of humour always left a lasting impression on everyone around him.
In his professional life he was industrious and hardworking working as a chef, a storekeeper at the Ghana Textiles Manufacturing Company in Tema, the Ghana Port and Harbour Authority Credit Union and later as a member of the Board of Directors of Bisease Senior High School.
On the 21st of September, he was crowned Omankrado of Ajumako Bisease. His faith influenced the way he interacted with others. His generosity and love for community was always evident in the charitable initiatives he undertook with his wife Grace. They organised health screenings and supporting the elderly and the youth. He had a deep love for his family and a boundless generosity that touched the lives of many in the community. It was a life marked by purpose, humility and grace. His legacy of kindness and dedication will live on, continuing to inspire all who knew him.
