Rosina Kyerematen
Rosina Kyerematen is an Associate Professor of Entomology at the department of Animal Biology and Conservation Science, University of Ghana, Legon. She is the current Dean of Student Affairs, and the first female to be appointed to that office.
Prof. Kyerematen earned her PhD in Systematic Entomology from the University of Bergen, an MPhil in Zoology (Entomology) and BSc. in Zoology with Biochemistry both from University of Ghana. Her special interest is in freshwater Entomology, Insect Systematics and Taxonomy, Climate Change and Biodiversity, and Ecosystem Services. She is a past Coordinator of the African Regional Postgraduate Programme in Insect Science (ARPPIS, 2013-2017).
She is passionate about teaching and has also been involved in consultancy in Environmental Impact Assessment projects related to UN Sustainable Developmental goals. She is a highly motivated and a goal-oriented person, but also a team player and understands well complex situations individually and in a group. She makes good contributions with her main interest on the overall success of her team.
She is an evangelical Christian who served on the GHAFES Executive Council and is a member of Agape House New Testament Church at East Legon.
