Otto Addo is a former Ghanaian professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He was born on June 9, 1975, in Hamburg, Germany, to Ghanaian parents. Addo began his youth career at the age of seven with SC Concordia von 1907 in Hamburg and later moved to HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst. He then joined Hamburger SV’s youth academy in 1988, where he progressed through the ranks to the first team.

Addo made his professional debut for Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga in 1994 and played for the club until 1999, making a total of 82 appearances and scoring 6 goals. He then moved to Borussia Dortmund, where he won the Bundesliga title in his first season. After three seasons with Dortmund, Addo played for several other clubs in Germany and Austria, including FSV Mainz 05, Wacker Tirol Innsbruck, and Red Bull Salzburg.

After retiring from playing, Addo became a coach and has worked as an assistant coach for several clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and the Ghana national team. He is currently the assistant coach of the Germany national team.
