Edward Abankwa
Born in the United Kingdom, Edward Abankwa relocated with his family to Ghana where he attended Christ the King International School, Achimota Secondary School and then the University of Science and Technology, now KNUST.
Edward Abankwa is a seasoned event production and new media expert with over 20 years of global experience spanning industries such as education, IT, telecommunications, defence, energy, and sports. He has spearheaded impactful events across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, including a landmark education conference in Saudi Arabia that brought together over 200 speakers and 2,500 attendees. Under his strategic leadership, the platform has become a catalyst for educational innovation.
Edward has collaborated with prestigious organisations like FIFA, Qatar Foundation, global National Olympic Committees, the Saudi Ministry of Education, Misk Foundation, and Saudi Aramco. Renowned for his ability to craft compelling content and foster stakeholder engagement, he has driven initiatives such as the African Football Executive Confex and the High-Performance Sports Coaching Excellence Summit.
A PRINCE2-certified project management practitioner, Edward is adept at strategic planning, proposal writing, and team management. Holding an MA in Communication Policy from City University, London, he excels in creating targeted, impactful messaging. With a dynamic blend of creativity and operational expertise, Edward continues to deliver world-class events and activations while championing innovation and collaboration.
